Union Green swings for the fences in the World Series of Birding
The Green Team, sponsored by Union Green, will compete in this year's World Series of Birding to raise money for the NJ Audubon's Birds and Nature of Sussex County Educational fund.
The Green Team, led by Donna and Don Traylor, along with Robyn and Nelson Martinez, will be on a 24hr birding marathon throughout Sussex County, NJ from May 14-15, 2010.
It's all for a good cause: To promote the natural beauty of Sussex County, encourage the protection and preservation of it's natural wonders, and provide nature-based, educational opportunities for kids and the wider public.
If you'd like to get involved, but do't know a chickadee from a chicken, (or even if you do) we would love any sponsorship you can afford, starting at a dollar-a-bird. Our goal is to at least gather a 100 bird strong list during this World Series. If you can't do a buck per bird, that's ok, whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated. Just email us at nmartinez@union-green.com with your pledges, wish us good luck and keep your fingers crossed for great weather.
Thank you all.
